The second semester exams that was stipulated for 9th Oct, 2017 could not take place this morning as the S.U.G disrupted the conduct of the exams.
The Acting Rector had earlier cancelled the school election stating that the incoming S.U.G union will now be by appointment. The S.U.G union has taken it upon itself to see that the exam is shifted in other to conduct the election. Meanwhile students are still protesting despite the troop of military personnel and vigilante groups within and outside the school premises.
There has been stampede earlier where only few students were injured but there was no loss of life. On the other hand, report reaching us says only the morning paper between 8:00am - 11:00am has been cancelled but other exams will still take place. (we do not know the possibilities yet).
It was gathered that the S.U.G president has been beaten and arrested along with some persons. We pray for safety and peace in AUCHIPOLY.
