The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) under the leadership of the federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy brings to yet another exciting Digital capacity building opportunity.
Coursera is a global virtual learning platform that has affiliation with many Ivy League universities across the world. NITDA partnered with Coursera to access licenses for its citizens through the paid partnership on the « Coursera for Government » initiative.
Three learning pathways have been designed to support the development of Nigeria’s digital economy and the tech ecosystem as follows:
- Tech Learning Pathway: Tech Learning Pathway: This is focused on specific areas of IT including data engineering, data science, data analytics, mobile and web development, IT security and infrastructure
- Career Readiness Pathway: Career Readiness Pathway – This is for recent graduates to excel by gaining career readiness skills including self-awareness, career development, job search, job success, digital literacy, digital job readiness, and productivity tools, as well as emerging technologies including big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.
- Entrepreneurship Pathway: Entrepreneurship Pathway – This is for unemployed youths and start-up founders to learn digital entrepreneurship skills, start-up finance, design thinking, communication skills, creative thinking, and product management for managing their businesses.
