Nigerian student who ditched his UNILAG admission for a foreign uni celebrates as he joins Microsoft as an intern

A Nigerian student simply identified as Ifeoluwakolopin, took to Twitter to celebrate his emergence as a Software Engineer intern at Microsoft, US.

The student while reminiscing on his journey said he was offered admission into the University of Lagos in 2018 to study Mechanical Engineering, but abandoned the program when a school he applied for, Minerva University in the United States also offered him admission.

As part of the requirement for students at the University, first-year students are enrolled in Seoul, South Korea. Hence, Ifeoluwakolopin as a fresh student in the Department of Computer Science of the university went for his first-year study in South Korea.

Following the conclusion of his first year in South Korea, Ifeoluwakolopin got a huge offer from Microsoft, Washington DC, in the USA to join them as a Software Engineer intern.

He also revealed that he will be opportune to complete his study at Minerva University, USA obtaining knowledge and classroom experience in 6 different cities around the world.
