Many have argued that NDA being a federal government military defense training institution, school fees are free, the general belief of “We be government pikin” does not apply to school fees payment in NDA.

INTRODUCTION
Nigerian Defence Academy is till date the only military training institution in Nigeria, established in 1964 and currently a home to over 4,500 cadet students in Nigeria.
Fast forward to 1985, the Nigerian Defence Academy in a bid to upgrade the academy intellectually, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes were introduced to both Military Officers and Civilians who after completing their university or polytechnic education, wants to acquire a postgraduate degree in PGD, Masters or Ph.D programme. Though the second category of PG students are naturally not combatants as they did not go through the rigorous training for combatant soldiers in NDA.
Admission Requirements
Aside wanting to know the exact tuition/school fees payable at NDA Kaduna, candidates or applicants ought to be well informed as regards the admission requirements by the Academy.
Do not get it twisted, NDA works just like the Universities in Nigeria, a degree in any of the courses offered is awarded to successful students after completing the required number of years and satisfying the Academy. Admission requirements is also the same with other universities.
Candidates applying for admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy must score at least 180 and above for him or her to be eligible for application.
Candidates must obtain a minimum of five credit passes in their O’level result in relevant subjects as it relates to their proposed course of study which must include English Language and mathematics.
Upon admission, you would be required to get a commissioned officer that is, from the rank of Major in the military to sign your form.
NDA School Fees For Fresh Cadets (Students) 2024/2025 Academic Session
At the introduction of this post, we talked about clearing the cloud surrounding NDA school fees for fresh students 2024/2025 session. It may interest you to know that all fresh students are required to pay equal tuition fee regardless of the course being offered.
NDA Acceptance Fee
Aside NDA Cadet school fees for 2024/2025 session which must be paid in full upon admission, we should not be in a hurry to forget the fact that acceptance fee is also to be paid, which is the first compulsory nonrefundable fee payable by fresh Cadets.
NDA Acceptance Fee is currently N35,000 for all newly admitted cadets.
Accommodation Fee For Fresh Students (Cadets)
Also, accommodation fee is to be paid. Unlike universities where accommodation is bases on first come first serve basis, NDA accommodation is enough to contain all new recruits, all freshers are required to stay within the school environment. Life in NDA is a bit scripted, so you need to be up and doing since your mental doggedness would go a long way in helping you graduate successfully.
Accommodation Fee is N45,000 naira for cadets.

So judging from both school fees and acceptance fee as seen above, total school fees for NDA undergraduate fresh students is 80,000 Naira, though there are some little charges or levy as the case may be but the above fee is what is required by the Academy.
As stated above, NDA school fees for fresh students in 2024/2025 is an equal amount for all fresh students irrespective of the courses offered.
All that is required is to pay the acceptance fee along side school fees plus other petty charges that are required.
