New Heritage Baptist Church Scholarship Program

New Heritage Baptist Church, located in Shomolu, is an esteemed member of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. In alignment with its commitment to corporate social responsibility, the Church established a merit-based scholarship scheme in 2015. The primary objective of this initiative is to foster a culture of academic excellence among Nigerian students enrolled in tertiary institutions.

Scholarship Overview:

- The scholarship program, administered annually, seeks to recognize and support deserving students from three tertiary institutions situated within the vicinity of the church. These institutions include:

  - University of Lagos

  - Yaba College of Technology

  - Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, including its University of Benin satellite campus.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:

  - Enrollment as a current student at the University of Lagos, Yaba College of Technology, or Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka - including its University of Benin satellite campus.

  - Completion of at least one academic session.

  - Attainment of a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a scale of 5.0 or its equivalent.

How to Apply:

- Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are required to apply through the provided application link.

- Upon completion of the online application form, applicants must download and print the validation form.

- The validation form must be endorsed by the Dean of Student Affairs at their respective institutions, with appropriate signatures and stamps.

- Selected applicants will receive notification regarding the date and venue of the aptitude test via email.

Additional Information for University of Lagos (UNILAG) Students:

- UNILAG students should ensure timely submission of the validation form at the UNILAG Counselling Centre, located on the Last Floor (new location) of the Bookshop Building, on or before Tuesday, 14th of May 2024.

Application Deadline:

- The scholarship application period commences on the 28th of April 2024 and concludes on the 12th of May 2024.
