A Professor of Economics in the Department of Agricultural Economics and former Director, Centre for Agricultural Research,Professor Julius Sunday Orebiyihas emerged as the next Dean of the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) for a term of two (2) years.
At its 180th meeting, the SAAT Board of Studies unanimously approved the nomination of Prof. J. S. Orebiyi as the 10thsubstantive Dean of the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT).
In his acceptance speech, Prof Orebiyi promised to continue to maintain the legacy of the founding fathers of the School as well as promote the quest for excellence of the University Management.
The out-going Dean, SAAT, Prof M. C. Ofoh thanked the members of the SAAT Board of Studies for their support over the past two years in actualising some of his goals of transforming the School. He enjoined them to continue to show support for the vision and mission of the in-coming Dean.
Prof. J. S. Orebiyi will formally assume duties as Dean on Monday, July 1, 2013.
