NBTE sets to accredit Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic programmes

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) is set to begin accreditation and reaccreditation of programmes of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic,Eruwa (Formerly the Ibarapa Polytechnic Eruwa), Oyo State.

The NBTE is a federal government agency in charge of regulating polytechnics, monotechnics and other allied institutions in Nigeria. The Board has finally agreed to visit the institution for accreditation and renewal of both fresh and suspended National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes in various Departments across the four faculties of the institution.

According to the Board Schedule, the accreditation exercise will begin on Monday, 30th November 2020. During the period, the management of the Institution is poised to present both old and new academic programmes in the various departments of the Faculty of Communication and Management Studies (FCMS), Faculty of Engineering (FE), Faculty of Science (FS) and Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES).

In Faculty of Communication and Management Studies, these programmes are set for accreditation and reaccreditation: Mass Communication, Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, Accountancy and Office Technology and Management.

In Faculty of Engineering,we are prepared for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering accreditation.

Also in Faculty of Science, all is set for accreditation of Maths and Statistics, Computer Science, Library and Information Science and Science Laboratory Technology.

And in faculty of Environmental Studies,we are ready to present Art and Design, Fashion and Clothing Technology, Architectural Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Urban and Regional Planning. All these for accreditation and reaccreditation.

The institution Management under the able leadership of the Acting Rector, Mr Peter Oloyede Adejumo is not taking anything for chance. With the news of the visit of the NBTE,every accreditation material and equipment recently procured are all set for a successful exercise.

In fact, the Management, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments and Units are relentlessly working to ensure an hitch-free outing for all the Institution programmes.

It can be recalled that in the recent past, the Institution's image is smeared with the crisis of unaccredited and outdated accreditation.

Now, the Polytechnic Community is sighing a big relief. The Staff, the host Community and indeed the students and all the stakeholders are hopeful of a desirable accreditation exercise.
