Nans Condemns Uniosun Threat To Expel Students

The National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) on Tuesday, rejected the threat by the management of the Osun State University (UNIOSUN) to expel 4,410 students for not paying their school fees before the deadline.

It will be recalled that the institution few days ago announced a plan to expel students who refused to pay their tuition fees, alleging that majority of the students have invested their school fees in different Ponzi Schemes.

The National Vice President of NANS, Mr Afolabi Aguda who disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Osogbo, noted that the threat to rusticate the students is not the best way to resolve the issue.

According to him, the students did not commit any offences that will warrant rustication.

He added that the association would seek dialogue with the management of the institution to resolve the issue.
