NANS Commends Ondo State Governor over reduction of fees in AAUA

The South-West zone of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has applauded the Ondo State governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, over the reduction in school fees of the state-owned Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA), Akungba  Akoko.

According to the association, this decision by the Governor shows that he listens to his people, adding that the reduction would go a long way to reduce the burden of the students and their parents despite the political meaning being attached to the reduction of the tuition fees.

The students however, called on the governor to also extend the same gestures to three other higher institutions in the state namely; UNIMED, OAUSTECH and RUGIPO and urged the governing councils of the three schools to meet with the governor to see to the reduction of fees.

The students pledged their support for the reelection of Akeredolu and also pleaded with the governor to attend to some challenges affecting the Olusegun Agagu University of Technology Okitipupa, such as security, electricity, hostels facilities and other infrastructures as well as ensure proper payment of the bursary to assist the parents of the students and the students themselves.
