A mild drama ensued at the University of Benin on Thursday evening, February 2, when some military men clashed with students of the institution while queuing to use the ATM.
According to reports, the soldiers arrived at the ATM point located inside the university campus and tried to bypass the queue to use the ATM, which the students resisted.
One of the soldiers was alleged to have directed his female colleague to beat a female student, who they thought was filming them as they tried to intimidate the students and use the ATM.
Angered by this, the students descended on the soldiers and forced them out of their school premises over the alleged harassment.
The school security promptly intervened and normalcy returned to the school premises afterward.
