FULOKOJA gets new Registrar

Mrs Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie has emerged as the 3rd Registrar of Federal University Lokoja (FUL) following the interview conducted for all the twelve shortlisted candidates which held on Wednesday, 26th January, 2022 leading to the conclusion of the Process of Selection of the next Registrar for the eleven-year-old University.

The announcement was made by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Distinguished Senator Chris Adighije during the 2nd Extraordinatinary Council meeting held today Thursday, 27th January, 2022 at the Council Chambers, Adankolo Campus of the University.

The seasoned administrator, who hails from Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, performed excellently in all the aspects of the interview to emerge the best candidate for the keenly contested position.

Born on 25th March, 1964, Mrs Okojie grew through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, a position she held until her appointment as the Registrar of Federal University Lokoja.

Similarly, she has held different leadership positions at various levels spanning several years of working in the University System with vast knowledge and experience in university administration.

Mrs Okojie is a registered member of many reputable professional bodies, among which are: Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), Association of University Administrators (AUA – UK), Association of Commonwealth Universities HR in HE Community, African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM).   

Mrs Rebecca Okojie will take over from the outgoing Registrar, Adm Usman Suleman Obansa whose 5-year tenure will end in February, 2022.
