Last year, MOUAU admitted about 5,000 students. This year there may be little or no difference in the admission figures. Hypothetically working with a cut off mark of 180, we should expect about 20,000 prospective students to apply for and take the Post-UTME Test at MOUAU for the 2013/2014 admission exercise. Out of this number, we can expect an admission population of about 5,000 (plus or minus 10%), which could possibly bring the figure to about 5,500. This translates to a 25% admission ratio from the population of applicants. In other words, one student out of four should be expected to be admitted. This is a very high contention ratio.

Candidates who scored between 180 and 200, should expect a hotter competition for admission spaces. With over 6,000 candidates scoring above 200, they already have an edge over the lower scoring candidates. With an average Post-UTME score, the above 200 scorers may be able to scale through. This will be different for those scoring between 180 and 200. They obviously really need to work harder, if they expect to secure admission slots by their performance. During every admission session, there are always those outstanding few who diligently prepare for the Test.

Remember that at MOUAU both First and Second choice candidates are considered equally for admission. I strongly encourage candidates who chose MOUAU as their first or second choice University to begin NOW to diligently start making their preparations for the MOUAU Post-UTME 2013. Usually, there is little or no time between when the online registrations start and when the Test is conducted. Be wise.

I wish you all the best.
