The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, has pleaded to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to suspend its plans for the Nationwide warning strike.
The minister who disclosed this on Tuesday night noted that the union should give the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration an opportunity to discuss all issues arising from the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) it reached with the past administration.
Ngige stressed that their is need for proper negotiation and in view of the prevailing circumstances, the issuance of warning strike by union was unconstitutional.
