MAN Post UTME ND Admission Form 2024/2025 Session - How To Apply

Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron post UTME and Direct Entry form for 2024/2025 academic session is not out yet and applications are not yet being received for admission into MAN undergraduate degree programmes. However, you could take note of the dates below as a guide for the 2024/2025 post utme screening exercise. The management further opined that it would give special consideration to their pre-degree students as approved by the senate.

The post UTME forms are for candidates who either selected Maritime Academy of Nigeria – MAN as their preferred choice of institution during the 2024/2025 UTME registration or changed their institutions to MAN using JAMB change of course and institution form.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • MAN’s post UTME will be computer based test format.
  • Kindly be informed that all eligible candidates are required to pay the sum of Two thousand Naira (N2,000) only for MAN post UTME form.
  • Please note that only suitably qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post UTME form. Kindly see below for MAN post UTME eligibility requirements.
  • MAN post UTME registration will close on the 13th October 2023. All candidates are to take note of this date.
  • MAN post UTME screening test date will be obtained from the print out upon completion of your MAN post UTME form online.

MAN Post-UTME & DE Eligibility Requirements

a) JAMB Cut Off Mark: Candidates must score the following:

  • 175 marks for Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • 160 marks for Maritime Transport and Business Studies in the 2024 UTME and must have selected Maritime Academy of Nigeria as their first choice of Institution in their 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration exercise.

b) Candidates who did not choose MAN as their first choice institution, but wish to study in the institution are ELIGIBLE to apply for MAN Post UTME on the grounds that such candidate(s) must have successfully completed a change of Institution and course to Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) on the JAMB Portal before the closing date.

c) Candidates with AWAITING RESULTS despite choosing MAN as their 1st choice of institution during the 2024 UTME registration or changed their institution and course to Maritime Academy of Nigeria are also NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for MAN post UTME form online.

d) O’Level Requirements: Both UTME and DE candidates applying for Maritime Academy of Nigeria are expected to have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes in Mathematics, English language, and three (3) other subjects relevant to your course of study that was registered in your UTME.

e) DE Requirement: MAN will admit only candidates who made at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects AT NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS and a minimum of LOWER CREDIT for DIRECT Entry candidates.

MAN Post UTME Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.

Applicants are required to possess the following:

a) A minimum of 175 marks in the 2024/2025 UTME for:

  • Nautical Science
  • Marine Engineering and
  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering

b) A minimum of 160 marks in the 2024/2025 UTME for:

  • Maritime Transport and Business Studies.

c) A minimum of five (5) credit passes in Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS in relevant subjects.

d) Applicant MUST have the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.

O’Level Requirements

Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent and JAMB subject Combination

Nautical Science:          
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Geography
  • Physics and any other relevant Science subjects obtained at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
    UTME Subject Combination:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Geography
  • Physics

Marine Engineering 
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
    UTME Subject Combination:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Electrical/Electronic Engineering    
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry any other relevant Science subjects
    UTME Subject Combination:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Maritime Transport and Business Studies           
Five (5) credit passes at Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Economics/Commerce and any two relevant subjects from Government, Principles of Account.
    UTME Subject Combination:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Economics
  • Commerce/Government/ Principles of Account

Physical and Medical Fitness:

Due to the peculiar requirements of the Institution and the maritime industry as well as international convention (STCW) 95 as amended in 2010 which mandates all sea men to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigours/challenges of the cadetship training

Marital Status:

  • Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.

Age Limit for Each Programme

  • Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as at the time of commencement of the programme.
  • Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as at the time of commencement of the programme.

National Diploma online application Portal Opens on the 1st August 2024.

Step 1 – Application Form is available online at: www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng

Step 2 – Carefully read the registration and payment guidelines before commencing the registration.

Step 3 – Login with your Username (Jamb Registration Number) for ND Applicants eg 33333333MA

Step 4 – Your Password is your Jamb Score eg 390.

Step 5 – Complete the registration and submit.
