The resent increase in malpractice has been heavily linked to students inability to pass on their own, in an interview with the Acting Head, Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education, University of Lagos, Prof. Carol Opara, she gives more insight on Causes and whom to be blamed.
In our interview with her, she said both Gov. and parents are to be blamed for most cases of exam malpractice.
Prof. Opara said lack of adequate infrastructure for good and qualitative leaning and parent quest or hunger for quick success for their children are the major causes of malpractice.
She further begged parents to stop paying teachers to pass their children and also asked Gov. to reduce the level of over population in class rooms.
