In the last meeting of all members of "The SchoolGist Team" held yesterday in Port Harcourt, various issues facing students in this 2012 post UTME were tabled to us by our numerous reporters. In the next few paragraphs, we are going to provide guidelines and suggestions to a successful post UTME exam and admissions, this 2012.
It should be noted that the Nigerian educational system, and school calenders of our institutions changes over time; changes of which could be attributed to the frequent strike actions that characterize our educational system.
These changes has effect on various examinations written in the country, including entrance examinations like post UTME. This year the calender is somewhat faster than usual.
Students must note that the time gap between announcement of post UTME date and the exam dates is very little and should make haste to get registered in their various schools to avoid missing out in the examination. A condition that automatically disqualifies the candidate from getting admission this year!
We publish information on various examination daily and yet, students are yet to get registered hoping that they have ample time to do so.
Registration for post UTME should be a race someone does for himself/herself. Take a trip to the school you have chosen and do it yourself! Sending people to do it for you may lead to errors and endanger your chances of getting into school this year.
Parents should assist their children or wards and make sure they don't get left behind. Ignore distance and visit your choice school to get registered immediately they announce sale of forms. If you could choose a particular school as your choice of institution, we see no reason why you cannot make out time to go there.
Various schools have announced their dates long ago, and yet students are yet to know about that. Such students stand a risk of not knowing when the exam is conducted.
