We understand that that ongoing 2017 UTME registration is experiencing some delay going by that fact that just few candidates have been able to register.
Our observations have revealed that one major reason for this being the fact that some candidates wait till they get to the registration centres before doing the necessary things they should have done earlier.
For instance, someone reported a case of candidates getting to the registration centres and expecting the operators of the centres to help them determine the course and institution of choice or determine the right UTME/O’level subject requirements.
For crying out loud, this is something you should have done before going for your registration. What makes you think the operators of these CBT centres will have time to do all that for you. They are there to help you complete the actual registration not to tell you the course and institution to study.

How To Make Your 2017 UTME Registration Faster
So we have decided to outline what candidates need to do to make this whole process of 2017 UTME registration faster and less stressful, we advise candidates to do the following before going to the different centres;
- Ensure you decide on the course and institutions you want to go for as well as the acceptable O’level/UTME subject requirements before going to the registration centre. This will help hasten the whole process.
- Ensure you create you JAMB online profile before going to the centres. This will equally help hasten the process as the operators will not take extra time in creating your profile.
- If you can get the e-pin from other outlets other than the registration centres, such as banks and JAMB Offices, with less stress, please do. That way you will immediately proceed with the actual registration once you get to the accredited centres. We understand you can get the E-PIN at Union Banks, Zenith Banks, Access Banks. You can check these outlets.
