How To Apply For Basic Medical Courses / Medical Related Courses

The Basic Medical Courses are one of the toughest courses in the Nigerian universities. You can apply for these courses by checking your preferred university and also confirming the university is accredited to teach the course or your degree will be rendered useless.

Applicants are required to possess at least 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in any SSCE e.g WAEC, NECO, GCE etc. Some universities would accept applicants who possess these credits in at least two sitting however some courses like Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science, Optometry, Dentistry and Pharmacy require the applicant to possess the credits in just one sitting only.

Note: Basic Medical Courses require a very intellectual mind to scale through the admission process as the competition is quite tough due to how lucrative the courses are. However, the student after gaining admission is also required to perform excellently to graduate from the university. These courses have one of the most stringent rules of all courses in Nigerian universities.

How To Apply For Engineering Courses

Applicants are required to possess at least 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in any SSCE e.g WAEC, NECO, GCE etc. Engineering courses are quite competitive and applicants who possess these 5 credits in more than one sitting might not get admitted to study their choice course even if they meet the minimum requirements in UTME.

Applicants are required to possess at least 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in any SSCE e.g WAEC, NECO, GCE etc. When applying to study any agricultural course it is important to check the requirement of the University before applying. Universities of technology like FUTA, FUTO, and FUTMINNA have different requirements in both SSCE and UTME compared to other full-fledged universities.

Computing and information technology courses are one of the most lucrative courses a science student can ever opt for. That means these courses are very competitive in every university in Nigeria especially the most reputable universities.
