The Nasarawa State University Keffi is one school many students apply in their UTME registration in a bid to gain admission into the school. After writing your UTME, post UTME screening test and finally seeing you were not successful, the next plan that comes to mind is to change of course and ask yourself, what are the less competitive courses in NSUK can I apply for? This is the norm amongst students. Albeit, some students rather wait until the next UTME registration to reapply.
NSUK like other universities has competitive courses and less competitive courses. Firstly, what do we mean by competitive courses and less competitive courses? Competitive courses are simply courses that many students register for during their UTME registration for example if you go through the list of courses offered in NSUK you will agree with me that courses like Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Mass Communications are amongst the most competitive courses registered by students seeking admission into NSUK or other schools in Nigeria. In the nutshell, these are courses that the majority of students register in their UTME while non-competitive courses are programmes that are less registered by UTME or DE candidates.
The advantage of selecting less competitive courses offered in NSUK is because you stand a much better chance of gaining admission into the Nasarawa State University Keffi because there are fewer candidates applying for the course so you can easily be admitted despite a low JAMB score so long as you pass the cut-off mark while The disadvantage selecting a highly competitive course is that despite passing the cut off mark and scoring high, you might still not be given admission because of the high number of candidates that must have applied for the course hence your low chances.
