List Of JAMB Approved Documents For Processing Admission For All Schools 2024/2025 Session

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) after a policy meeting headed by the board’s spokesperson have finalized on the approved documents for processing admission into universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of education in Nigeria for 2024/2025 academic session.

If you participated in JAMB and passed the cut off mark for your selected institution, this information is for you. The board has listed all documents you must carry along and must be submitted in the process of working your admission in any tertiary institution in Nigeria.

Please note that this directive is binding on all schools in Nigeria irrespective of whether it is a Federal, state or private university, polytechnic or college of education.

Below is the list of documents approved for submission by candidates for admission this academic session. Kindly go through and make sure you have all in place before screening exercise begins.

JAMB DOCUMENTS FOR 2024/2025 ADMISSION-EXERCISE

The following documents would be used for the conduct of the 2021 Admissions Exercise:

i) The 2024 UTME/DE results;

ii) JAMB acknowledgement slip

iii) Original O’level results or statement of results.

iv) Original copy of birth certificate or Affidavit of age declaration.

v) Passport photographs

vi) JAMB admission letter if available.

This admission exercise like in the past shall be done strictly by merit based on JAMB’s 2024 admissions quota as prescribed by the regulatory bodies (NUC/NBTE/NCCE). The guidelines on admissions to tertiary Institutions as prescribed by the institutions’ Proprietors (Federal, State and Private).

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION-EXERCISE 2024

  1. Recommendations and Approval
    Institutions are to recommend candidates for admission after having presented to the Board the following information through CAPS:

i. the approved general quota for each institution and the distribution to the
various programmes;

ii. Minimum UTME score for each programme;

iii. Minimum DE qualification grades for Direct Entry Candidates;

iv. Components of Cut-off marks and the allotted score for each component;

v. the cut-off date for the 1st and 2nd Choice admissions after which no result upload nor change of Institution as 1st Choice would be allowed;

vi. supplementary admission can be allowed but fresh candidates cannot have right to being on merit list but through other criteria to fill existing vacancies; and

vii. other admissions criteria (if any)

Step by Step in the Admission Process

For a candidate to be registered in an institution from 2024/2025 admissions exercise, he or she must have:

i. been recommended by the institution;

ii. been approved and admitted by JAMB;

iii. accepted the offer online on JAMB’s website at no cost;

iv. printed both Result Slip and Admission Letter directly from JAMB’s website;

v. presented the two (2) documents in (iv) above to the Institution; and

vi. been screened and must have presented acceptable credentials including those in (iv) above.

All candidates applying for admission this academic session must take note of the above directive from JAMB as all schools have been mandated to follow the above admission process before admitting any candidate this session.
