Heritage Polytechnic is one of the few private polytechnics in Akwa Ibom state. The polytechnic is located in Eket, a popular oil rich zone in Akwa Ibom state.

Heritage Polytechnic Admission Requirements for Freshers
A) Prospective applicant or candidate seeking for admission into Heritage Polytechnic must be at least 17 years of age in the year of admission (some students swear an affidavit to increase their ages, age declaration can also be used)
B) Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings as required by school authority.
C) Candidate must score up to the minimum approved Heritage Polytechnic JAMB cut off mark for such candidate to stand a chance of gaining admission into the institution.
D) Candidates must pass their post UTME screening aptitude test and exercise in order to stand a chance of gaining admission into the institution.
E) Candidate must score at least 150 and above in JAMB to stand a chance of gaining admission into the school.
Upon meeting the above general entry admission requirements, candidates automatically become eligible for admission into Heritage Polytechnic, candidates can then proceed for their internal screening exercise either via online or university environment.
