Edo State Polytechnic formally known as Institute of Technology and Management (ESITM) Usen is a higher institution of learning located in Usen community of Ovia South West local government area of Edo State.
Edo state polytechnic was established in 2002 by Chief (Dr.) Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion (former governor of Edo state. The school runs four schools, namely
- School of Environmental Studies
- School of Business Studies
- School of Applied Science
- School of Engineering

The polytechnic has done very well in its academic field which earned it the second best polytechnic in Nigeria according to a Webometrics, an authority in the field of higher institution rankings in the world.
The list of accredited courses offered in Edo Poly has been released by the school and management of the Polytechnic.
Kindly be informed that after successfully completing of any of the academic programmes studied at Edo Poly, a certificate in ND or HND in your respective programmes is awarded to successful students as approved by the rector of the polytechnic.
Usually, upon choosing a course of study at Edo Poly Usen, it is usually advised that candidates confirm the admission requirements needed to study the course in question, see below basic admission requirements to study any of the courses offered at Edo Poly.
Edo Poly Admission Requirements
a) Age Requirement: First and foremost, candidates with intention to study in Edo Poly Usen must be at least 16 years of age in the year of admission
b) Basic Entry Requirements: Admission into Edo Poly requires that a candidate possesses a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings in order to be qualified to study at the institution.
c) JAMB Cut Off Mark Requirement: To successfully gain admission into Edo Poly, you must score up to the minimum JAMB cut off mark of 150 to stand a chance of partaking in their post UTME screening exercise.
Upon meeting the above requirements, candidates becomes automatically eligible for admission into Edo state poly Usen and their internal screening exercise.
