The management of The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife has approved the list of ND and HND courses offered in The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife including other Pre-ND and certificate courses. The Polytechnic Ile-Ife started as Universal Tutorial College, Ile-Ife, providing basic remedial studies for candidates sitting for Ordinary and Advanced Level, External examinations. It recorded so great a success that by late 80s it had become a household name in the Oyo State.
Before we go into details about the list of courses offered in The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife, readers need to be informed about the body responsible for accreditation and dis-accreditation of courses in all Polytechnics in Nigeria.
The NBTE (National Board for Technical Education) is the agency of the Federal government of Nigeria responsible for approval of license of all Polytechnics in Nigeria.
Just like the NUC, the NBTE has the vested power to accredit and disaccredit courses offered in any Polytechnic (Private, State and Federal). It was set up by the Ministry of Education to checkmate the abuse of office by management and authority of Polytechnics in Nigeria.
Without deviating from the focal point of this post (accredited list of courses offered in The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife), we have listed the NBTE (National Board for Technical Education) approved list of courses offered in Poly Ile- ife also referred to as The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife by some.
Therefore, prospective students who chose The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife as their preferred choice of Polytechnic during the UTME registration are advised to go through the accredited list of courses offered in The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife as seen below for confirmation.
Please note that The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife offers courses under NDI, NDII, HND I and HND II and other Pre-ND and Certificate courses and admission into this Polytechnic is strictly by merit. The duration of these programmes are 2 years for ND and HND programmes while other Pre-ND and certification courses are between 3 to 1 year approximately each and upon completion, successful students are awarded a certificate at the completion of each stage.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The admission requirements of the Polytechnic are the normal NBTE requirements. These are 5 credits in not more than two sittings. These 5 credits must include English Language and Mathematics.
Please note that the school has WAIVERS for those who have not met the entry requirement of NBTE.
