The management of the institution has published the list of accredited courses offered in Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, also known as RUGIPO.There are 6 major faculties (Schools) operating in RUGIPO namely: Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Engineering Technology, Faculty of Environmental studies, Faculty of Social Management, Faculty of Business Studies and Faculty of Agricultural Technology.
We have arranged the approved courses offered in RUGIPO in a systematic manner that makes it easy for readers to identify the course being searched for. The courses have been arranged in an alphabetical order so it makes it easier for readers to locate their preferred course of study.
Unlike the either federal or states universities where courses and departments are hosted by faculties, Federal or states polytechnics courses are hosted by Schools, so instead of using the term “Faculty of”, Polytechnics make use of “School of”
As said earlier, Rufus Giwa Poly has 6 schools (Faculties) and currently over 31 different courses offered in RUGIPO (Rufus Giwa Polytechnic) and these courses cuts across various fields ranging from admin, sciences and engineering.
To study any of the courses offered in Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, candidates must meet their general entry requirements; we have outlined the minimum requirements for admission into Rufus Giwa Poly below:
GENERAL MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates with one of the following qualifications may be considered for admission into ND Programme:
A) Candidate must first and foremost score at least the minimum cut off mark of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic to be eligible to sit for their post UTME
B) Candidate must possess either a SSC/WBSC stage II, a NABTEC or NECO with a minimum of five (5) credits in five subjects relevant to the programme obtained at not more than two sittings.
B) Candidate must pass at the final examination of the pre-ND of RUGIPO
So with the above, candidate is eligible for application into RUGIPO
