Lautech Students Protest Tragic Death Of Corp Member

Students and members of the family of late Miss Ifedolapo Oladepo, on Tuesday, staged a protest in Osogbo, Osun State to register their grievances over the alleged negligence of officials of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Ifedolapo, who was a first class graduate of LAUTECH also among the 2016 Batch ‘B’ corps member, died in the orientation camp on 29th of November 2016, in Kano NYSC orientation camp.

The protesters dressed in black with different inscription on their placards, marched from the Freedom Park marched through the Osogbo/Ibadan Road before proceeding to the state House of Assembly.

According to reports, A representative of the Oladepo family, Mr Bamiji Oladele told newsmen that the protesters decided to submit their protest letter to the National Assembly through the state lawmakers so that the death could be probed.

The students in their protest told NYSC to tender a public apology to Nigerians as well as Investigating the circumstances that led to the death of the corp member which should be made public and adequate compensation should also be paid.
