The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Governing Council has approved the resumption of academic activities in the university with effect from September 15, 2017.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar of the university and Secretary to the Governing Council, Jacob A. Agboola, all students of the university are expected to go back to school on Monday, September 25, 2017.
However, full academic activities will resume immediately after the Nigeria;s Independence anniversary holiday. The Senate of the university is expected to release the academic calendar before then
The Council thanked the Governors of Oyo and Osun States, Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi and Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola respectively, for agreeing to support the university with necessary funds to ensure the university return to its normal activities and reinvigorate its latent capacities for accelerated and sustainable growth and development.
It also appreciated all stakeholders for their understanding and support.
The Council further appealed to students, staff, parents as well as the public to demonstrate greater faith and dedication to the wellbeing of the institution, as better days lie ahead of it.
It advised that concerted efforts should be geared towards ensuring that nothing is allowed to disrupt the normal work of the university again.
