Ladoke Akintola University of Technology,(LAUTECH) is the body responsible for the administration of part time admission programmes in LAUTECH. Often times candidates seeking admission via part time confuse the full time courses for part time courses. They just assume that any course offered in LAUTECH undergraduate full time degree programme is equally offered under LAUTECH part time degree programmes but this is not always so.
Many UTME students now go for part time programmes after failing to gain admission via UTME and the good thing is that the B.Sc certificate does not state whether it is part time or full time which is what make it better.
In part time degree programmes most often, physical and life science courses as well as courses like Pharmacy, Medicine and Surgery are exempted mainly because of the scope of work involved which includes, practicals, field trips, consistent attendance and other factors. Though courses like Biology, chemistry, Computer science and even some engineering course are offered under LAUTECH part time programmes.
On the other hand, administrative courses like Accounting, Business Administration are the most applied courses under part time studies in LAUTECH. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (i) – (iii)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects: Commerce may be acceptable in lieu of Economics for B.Sc. Accounting and Geography for
Transport Management.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (iv) – (vi)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science/Technical Drawing and any other Social Science subject.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (i) – (iii)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings. Other ‘O Level requirements as stated in A above apply. In addition to the ‘O Level qualification(s), candidates must have at least N.C.E./National Diploma with Lower Credit in relevant disciplines from a
recognized College of Education/Polytechnic.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (iv – vi)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings. Other ‘O Level’ requirements are as stated in A (iv-vi). In addition to the ‘O Level qualification(s), candidates must have any of the following depending on the programme applied for:
(a) Good passes at Advance Level of GCE (WAEC) (or equivalent) in Pure Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or the Combined Pure and Applied Mathematics and Physics; and any other subjects from the following: Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Geography;
(b) National Diploma with Upper Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology and University Diploma of LAUTECH and any other relevant discipline from a recognised Polytechnic;
(c) Passes in Intermediate Level of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognised Professional Bodies; other Science Based
(d) Third Class Degree in a Science-based discipline may also be considered for admission.
(e) National Diploma with Lower Credit in Science Laboratory Technology from a recognised Polytechnic is acceptable in addition to requirements specified under A(iv-vi).
(f) G.C.E. “A” level passes minimum of two in any of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics .
(g) Ordinary National Diploma in Environmental Health Biosafety and other related Science based courses, Upper Credit or NCE Biology/Chemistry, Integrated Science, Health Education, Physics and other related based courses (not lower than Credit) or Ordinary National Diploma for Public Health Superintendents (Awarded by WAEHEB).
C. THREE (3) YEAR DURATION
(i) B.Sc. Accounting
(ii) B.Sc. Transport Management
(iii) B.Sc. Marketing
(iv) B.Sc. Computer Science
(v) B.Sc. Science Laboratory Technology

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (i) – (iii)
Applicants must possess at least Five (5) Credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings in ‘O Level subjects as listed under A (i) – (iii) above. Applicants must also possess any of the following: (c) HND Upper Credit in relevant disciplines (d) HND lower Credit plus relevant Professional
Qualifications.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (iv)
In addition to the ‘O Level requirements stated for A (i) – (iii) above; applicants must also possess any of the following:
(a) Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognized Polytechnics with a minimum of Lower Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology or any other relevant disciplines may also be considered.
(b) Passes in final level (equivalent of full membership) of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognized professional bodies.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR C (v)
Candidates must have five (5) ‘O Level (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB as stated for A (iv) – (vi) above.
Applicants must also possess the following:
Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology, Fisheries Technology, Animal Science, Health Technology and other Science-based related discipline with at least Lower Credit.
Professional Registration will be an added advantage.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (vi)
HND National Diploma in Environmental Health, Fisheries Technology and other Science-based related courses with at least Lower Credit. (i) Royal Society Diploma for Public Health Inspectors. (ii) Health Superintendents (Awarded by WAEHEB).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (vii)
(i) Direct Entry to 300 Level
A candidate who fulfills ordinary level requirements (as in A (iv) – (vi) and in addition holds HND certificate at credit level in Architectural Technology may be considered for admission into 300 level.
(ii) Transfer cases:
A candidate wishing to transfer from other school of Architecture for some good reasons may be considered for absorption to appropriate level determined by the Department. Any deficiencies in the candidate’s background should be rectified by taking appropriate courses.
(iii) Degrees being awarded
The department of Architecture offers a to-tier professional degree programme. Under the first tier , the student’s programme will lead to a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Architecture and the second tier of minimum of 2-year or 4-semester duration leading to Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Architecture.
