Lautech Graduate Kidnapped, N20 Million Ransom Demanded

Ifeoluwa Olabiyi, a female graduate of Nutrients and Biotechnology from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Oyo State, and three male farmers are currently in kidnappers den with their fate hanging in the clouds.

The were kidnapped after a set of gunmen numbering ten in number and dressed like soldiers in camouflage stormed Atanda farm where the graduate works in Igbodu community, Epe, Lagos at 8:00 p.m.

They fired shots into the air before making away with four people; Ifedayo Olabiyi, a Togolese identified as Busiyi Kposu and two other male farmers who were not named.

Reports also gathered that the kidnappers has contacted the owner of the farm requesting for N5 million on each of the victims, bringing the total amount to N20 million, after several negotiation, the price was reduced to N2 million to be paid within 24hours as they threatened to kill the victims if their demands were not met.

The owner of the farm, a man in his sixties has reportedly been hospitalised due to the strain of trying to raise that amount.
