Earlier this week, we made an almost controversial report about FUTO post UTME exam date that threw the whole prospective students of the Federal University of Technology into a state of near confusion. Here we want to make you feel at rest again.
The truth remains that our schools need upgrade in almost all their services. Nigerian Universities have the least online presence world-wide, a very bad issue!
On the date of that previous publication, FUTO updated their website with information, stating that the 2012 post UTME will hold on the 31st of May, 2012. Though surprising, they failed to feature any information as to the examination registration, procedures and other necessary things.
They are not to blame though, because our varsities never believed that people stream through the whole websites of the schools in this country daily to know that latest they have. The publication we made on FUTO this will serve as an awakening factor to all other schools.
We 've got to a period when our varsities respect the (prospective) students who wish to study in them, only by so doing we can make education a marketable commodity in this nation.
To do this, schools should see admission issues not only as an exercise, but a serious exercise worth advertising for, and by so doing will attract not just local but international audience.
As a matter of fact, FUTO again a couple of days ago, "re-phrased" their post-UTME publication and with the status quo, no specific date has been fixed for the conduct of the examination.
Below is a quote from FUTO website as it stands now, and we quote:
"Post-UTME Test
The Post-UTME Test for applicants seeking admission to the University will be coming up soon. Having received the UTME scores of applicants from the Joint Admissions Board, the University is set to declare the minimum scoreline for applicants to take part in the FUTO's Post-UTME Examination."
All prospective students of the university should study hard and get ready for the exams, as any further updates from the school will be communicated.
