LASU (Lagos State University) medical screening exercise has been announced by the management of the university. LASU medical screening exercises are conducted by the University Health Services (UHS) to assess the health status of individuals. These screenings are typically done to ensure that participants meet certain health requirements or standards, especially in fields such as medicine, nursing, or allied health professions.
During a medical screening exercise, participants may undergo various assessments, which can include:
- Medical history questionnaire: Participants may be required to provide information about their medical history, previous illnesses, surgeries, medications, and any existing health conditions.
- Physical examination: A healthcare professional may conduct a thorough physical examination, checking vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature. They may also examine different body systems to assess overall health.
- Laboratory tests: Participants may be asked to provide blood or urine samples for laboratory tests. These tests can help identify any underlying medical conditions or assess specific health parameters, such as blood cell counts, cholesterol levels, or infectious diseases.
- Additional tests: Depending on the specific requirements of the screening, additional tests such as vision and hearing tests, electrocardiograms (ECGs), or chest X-rays may be conducted.
All newly admitted students of Lagos State University are hereby informed that the University Health Services (UHS) has scheduled medical screening for students to commence on Monday, 19th June 2023.
All fresh students are scheduled in batches of 50 – 70 daily till the last students. This will enable better coordination and a hitch-free exercise.

Follow the steps below to print your medical screening schedule date.
Step 1 – Visit LASU website to print medical screening scheduled date
Step 1 – Present the following at the Outpatient section of LASU Health Centre:

- Printed copy of the medical screening scheduled date
- Two (2) recent passport photographs
- Copy of receipt of payment for medical screening
- Writing materials
- Facemask and Hand Sanitizer
N.B: Students who miss their scheduled date should visit the DICT to be rescheduled
Parents/members of staff/old students/friends are NOT allowed at the screening area
