The President, of the Lagos State University Students Union (LASUSU) Nurudeen Yusuf, has said on Thursday at the Ojuelegba campus, that the students of the Lagos State University has unanimously agreed that no student of the institution would pay the increased tuition fee levied by the state government.
According to him, the union has submitted the proposal requested by Governor, Babatunde Fashola at a meeting with the union on April 3 for the reduction of the fees. The proposal which was forwarded to the Governor on April 24 stated that returning students of the institution will pay N46, 500 while new students will pay N65, 500 as the new tuition fee.
He however, said the union is yet to get response from the State Governor and called for the immediate reduction of the tuition fees to the tune of the union.
