LASU Best Graduating Becomes International Ambassador for IVC

LASU BEST GRADUATING STUDENT, OLADIMEJI SHOTUNDE

The Lagos State University Best Graduating Student for the 2018/2019 academic session, Oladimeji Shotunde, has become the Ambassador for an organization, International Vocational Center (IVC) under her World Free Education Programme.

Shotunde’s appointment was made public on Wednesday, 16th December, 2020 during the 24th Convocation Ceremonies of the University where he was also awarded several other prizes in recognition of his academic feat.

In addition to the IVC Ambassadorial appointment, Oladimeji was presented with a cash reward of Five Hundred Thousand Naira will a further announcement that he would have a project built in his name, in the university.

The organization, International Vocational Center (IVC) was founded by Dr. Pedro Manuwa, an international liaison officer and entrepreneur with a distinct character. He is a Japanese trained Doctor of letters and a Turkish-Nigeria trained orator of International repute. The International Vocational Center, through its Scholarship scheme gives leverage to brilliant but indigent students in Nigeria. This initiative, they believe, will help motivate those coming behind towards attaining academic excellence.

To encourage other students, Dr. Manuwa also announced that any graduating student who is able to better Shotunde’s 4.95 CGPA in the next three years will get a cash prize of one million naira from him.
