The Lagos state government has ordered the indefinite closure of all schools in the state due to the ongoing #EndSARS protest in the state.
This was announced by the state Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo on Monday,19 October during a press briefing. She stated that the safety of pupils, students, staff and parents was paramount to the government at a sensitive time as this.
Consequent to this, all pupils and students of both private and public schools, have been advised to stay at home following the tension generated by the anti-SARS protest.
The Commissioner also disclosed that a new resumption date would be announced as soon as possible.
