The Lagos state police command has arrested one 62-year-old Emmanuel Madueke, the proprietor of Megaland Comprehensive School, Lekki, Lagos, over allegations of sexual assault and harassment of a female student.
According to a statement released by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team on Sunday, June 20, the proprietor had developed a friendly relationship with the students, and on May 26, 2021, he allegedly made sexual advances to the students and kissed her on the lips. The student was said to have pushed him away and ran out of his office and reported the incident afterward.
When officials of the State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team visited the school, the proprietor had claimed that his action was an innocent gesture on the student’s cheek.
