Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has obtained a approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to offer 31 courses, including Quantity Survey, Metallurgy and Leisure and Tourism Management.
The Rector of the polytechnic, Alhaji Mas’ud Elelu, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Ilorin.
Other courses that got reaccreditation for National Diploma (ND) were Mineral Resources and Petroleum Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Office Technology Management, Estate Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Technology and Statistics.
The polytechnic will also offer Higher National Diploma (HND) in a number of courses; Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Office Technology Management and Building Technology for the polytechnic. The board also gave its approval to the polytechnic to run HND in: Survey and Geo-informatics, Science Laboratory Technology, Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology.
