Kwara-COE reinstates demoted staff members accused of forgery, harassment

The Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, has reinstated six of its workers who were demoted about two years ago on allegations of certificate forgery, extortion of students, and sexual harassment. The institution Provost, Prof. AbdulRaheem Yusuf, disclosed this in an interview with a news agency on Monday, May 10.

According to the provost, the six demoted staff, including one academic staff, were pardoned after concrete evidence presented before the investigation council vindicated them.

The names of the six reinstated staff were not mentioned, however, five of the affected workers involved in alleged certificate forgery are from the non-academic staff, while one of them who is an academic staff was involved in sexual harassment

Prof. Yusuf further condemned what he described as insinuations from some quarters that there is a crisis at the college.
