For the 2024 academic year, the KTF Ogoni Scholarship Scheme offers two categories based on academic level:
200 Level/NDII Applicants:
- Total Awards: 75 scholarships
- Distribution: 50 for university students and 25 for students in polytechnics, monotechnics, or colleges of education.
Final Year Applicants:
- Total Awards: 25 scholarships
- Distribution: 23 slots for Ogoni students and 2 slots for non-Ogoni students.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the KTF Ogoni Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Ogoni Origin: Must be an Ogoni student from one of the specified Local Government Areas.
- Tertiary Institution Enrollment: Must be enrolled in an approved tertiary institution in Nigeria (university, polytechnic, monotechnic, or college of education).
- Academic Level: Must be in 200 Level/NDII or final year during the 2023/2024 session.
- Academic Performance: Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5-point scale or 2.4 on a 4-point scale.
- Bank Account: Must have a BVN-compliant bank account without maximum amount restriction.
- Scholarship Restrictions: Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, such as those from oil and gas companies.
- Admission Proof: Must possess a valid admission letter into an approved institution.
- Exclusion of Part-Time Students: Part-time students are not eligible for this scholarship.
