Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority notice on release of 2024 BECE results

The Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority (KSSQAA) is pleased to announce that the results of the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will be released on Sunday, 25th August, 2024, 3:00pm. All schools are advised to follow the guidelines provided below to access their results. 

Steps to Access Results (Representative): 

  • Visit the official website at kssqaa.org.

  • Navigate to the “Examinations” tab.

  • Select the appropriate examination (e.g. BECE) and your school type (Private/Public).

  • Enter your login ID and password on the login page to access the system.

  • Update your email address on the update page that appears after login, as the students’ gazette will be sent to this email. 

Steps to Access the Gazette (Representative): 

  • Click on “Photo Album” on the Sidebar.

  • Select the examination year and type.

  • Click “Download Gazette” to generate and receive the gazette in the proprietor’s, school’s, and school representative’s email. 

Steps to Access the Gazette (Proprietors): 

  • Visit the official website at kssqaa.org.

  • Click on the “Proprietor Login” link at the bottom of the homepage.

  • Enter your login ID and password on the login page to access your system.

  • Update your email address on the update page that appears after login, as the students’ gazette will be sent to this email.

  • Click on “Students List” on the sidebar and click on “Download BECE Gazette” to receive the Gazette via your email.

  • If you have forgotten your password, use the “Reset Password” button to receive a reset email. 

IMPORTANT UPDATES: 

Annual Renewal Requirement: 

Schools that have not paid their annual renewal fees or fail to upload acceptable evidence of payment will be unable to view their results. Please ensure payment is completed. 

Portal Reopening for Biodata Updates: 

The portal will reopen between 25th August and 1st September, 2024 to allow schools to update/correct their students’ Biodata. Accurate information is crucial before certificates are issued 

Pending RESULT: 

Some students’ results may be marked as ‘Pending. This is due to ongoing result processing. If results remain pending after one week, schools should contact us. Results may be showing ‘Pending’ due to one or more of the following reasons. 

  • Incomplete scores entry

  • Unregistered candidates sitting for exams

  • Incomplete Continuous Assessments (CA’s)

  • Private schools with unpaid annual renewal fees or without acceptable payment evidence 

Certificate Printing: 

  • Only schools that have completed the authorization form will have their certificates printed.

  • Corrections after certificate printing will incur a N1,000 fine per correction.

  • Certificate printing will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to schools that report and resolve any issues with their results.

  • Indicate “Cleared” if there are no issues with your results.

Payment to Examiners: 

So far, about 400 examiners who have completed marking and accurately entered their scores have been paid. If you have not yet received your payment, please review the differences between the expected and entered scores and contact KSSQAA/The CodeUnit to address any discrepancies so that your payment can be processed promptly.
