ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES
Higher National Diploma in:
a. Computer Science
b. Statistics
c. Science Laboratory Technology with options in the following

a. Higher National Diploma in Computer Science (Two Years)
Candidates must possess National Diploma in Computer Science and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics and Physics are compulsory at credit level. A credit in any other Science Subject and Social Science subject is also required, with one (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.
b. Higher National Diploma in Statistics (Two Years)
Candidates must possess National Diploma in Statistics and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics and Geography Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agric. Science. In addition, candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.
c. Higher National Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology (Two Years)
With options in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Environmental Biology. Candidates must possess National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics are compulsory at credit level. A credit in any other Science Subject and Social Science subject is also required, with one (1) year compulsory Industrial Training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. 2. SCHOOL OF ART DESIGN AND PRINTING
a. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Design
With options in the following
i. Graphics
ii. Textiles

Candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Design with options, (2.a(i) (2.a(ii) and 2.a(iii)) must possess National Diploma in Fine Arts and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings English Language, Mathematics, fine Arts or Visual Arts, Chemistry, History, Biology, Literature in English, Clothing and Textiles, Religious Knowledge and any other sciences. In addition, candidates must have one (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.
b. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fine Arts
With options in the following
i. Painting
ii. Sculpture
The entry requirements same as (2.a) above.
3. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
a. Higher National Diploma Mineral/Petroleum Resources Engineering
With options in the following:
i. Mining Engineering Technology
ii. Geological Engineering Technology
iii. Mineral Processing Engineering Technology
Candidates for Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mineral/Petroleum Resources Engineering with option (3.a(i), 3.a(ii) and 3.a(iii)) must possess National Diploma in Mineral Resources Engineering and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry and any three subjects from Metalwork, Technical-Drawing, Basic Electronics, and Geography. Such candidate must have one (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.
4. SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY
a. Higher National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning
Candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Urban and Regional Planning must possess National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings English Language, Mathematics, and Geography and any two subjects from the followings; Economics, Physics, Biology/Agric. Science, Fine Art. In addition, candidates must have one (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.
5. SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES
Higher National Diploma in:
a. Accountancy
b. Business Administration and Management
c. Library and Information Science
d. Office Technology and Management
e. Public Administration
a. Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (Two Years)
Candidates must possess National Diploma in Accountancy and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics and Commerce or Economics are compulsory at credit level. A credit in any other Science Subject and Social Science subject is also required, with one (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.
b. Higher National Diploma in Business Administration and Management (Two Years)
Same as (5.a) above but candidates must possess National Diploma in Business Administration and Management.
c. Higher National Diploma in Library and Information Science (Two Years)
Same as (5.a) above but candidates must possess National Diploma in Library and Information Science.
d. Higher National Diploma in Office Technology and Management (Two Years)
Same as (5.a) above candidates must possess National Diploma in Office Technology and Management.
e. Higher National Diploma in Public Administration (Two Years)
Same as (5.a) above candidates must possess National Diploma in Public Administration and must have a credit pass in Government or Civic Education at the O’level.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application form can be accessed through the school portal at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng Qualified candidates are advised to generate two different RRR number for the Admission form and the screening fee through the school portal, and proceed to make payment as follows:
Admission Form Fee: N10,000.00
Screening fee: N5,000.00
Total = N15,000.00
Note:
i. All applicants must process and submit their Academic transcript not later than four (4) weeks from the date of this advertisement.
ii. Submission of hard copy of credentials at the Polytechnic Admission office must be done on or before the closing date of the form.
iii. The closing date for the submission of completed forms is six weeks (17th July 2023) from the date of this advertisement. Candidates should note that there will be no extension of the date of sale of application forms.
