Before I started this write Up, I say to myself, "Seunex, what is it that you can do to help aspiring futmite that are coming to write this Post UTME" and the answer I gave to myself gave birth to this write Up.
Writing Post Utme is not a new thing to some people (besides no one is even interested in the number of times you have done that) while some are green to it.
In either of the case above, you will all be subjected to the same E-exam (which is all about you speed and accuracy) at the same time and the primary aim of all aspirants is to come back in November for registration (which I pray you will).
As a lecturer of mine will always say, all the students cannot pass and neither can all the students fail even though all the students write the same exam under the same exam condition. But the question is; Why is it that it is You and I that will now be victims when others don’t? Why will others get admission when you don’t?? Do they know more than you do??
Answers to these questions are in two parts. WHAT they DO and YOU Don’t and vice versa.
So let’s proceed to WHAT you have to do before and after this coming exam.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE:
1) It is advisable to be in the minna at least a day before the exam. You can never predict all this vehicles. They might break down on the road and you now started thinking that it is one witch from your village that caused it. Don’t jeopardize your exam please. It might cost you a year which I reject for you.
2) Come with the necessary and required credentials and materials. When you have enough time to prepare I see no reason why you should forget anything. Don’t think you will come here before you start printing and photocopying your credentials; that’s a bad idea I must tell you. There might be no time for you as you might think.
3) Be defined: Know what you want before coming down here. The first post Utme that held some couple of weeks ago was not funny. You need to see how an aspiring Mechanical Engineer changes his course to Animal production just to make sure he writes the exam. I don’t think such a person has a goal or vision. Please know what you want.
4) Fund: It is always safer to come with enough money especially if you have not been here before. Even there is probability of transport fair to your arena to be inflated due to large number of candidate. Is someone asking like how much he should bring? You can come with all the money in all your bank accounts.
WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT
1)Over confidence: over confidence kills like pride. Don’t be too sure of yourself. To revise what you know before the exam is not a bad thing at all. I will even advice you lay your hands on past questions if you can.
2)Please don’t put your hope and trust in any man. It is termed foolishness. I won’t say much about this.
Both Good things and bad things need prayer. Don’t forget to do that.
You have gone a long way to secure both your O’level and A ‘level and even to secure jamb score. Don’t let the post Utme ruin all what you have done. Adhere to this little advice and I hope to see you in November for registration. You can also add yours by using the comment box.
