Kano State set to renovate Primary Schools in 44 Local Governments

Kano State Government has allocated the sum of 20 million naira each to 44 local governments for the renovation of selected primary schools across the state. The project which is to be carried out by the Community Promotion Council (CPC) has been given a completion deadline of three weeks.

The Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who stated that quality education was the bedrock of societal development, reiterated the commitment of his administration in financing the education sector and engaging community participation.

Reacting to this, representative of the Department for International Development (DFID), Nafisa Ado, communicated the acknowledgement of the Queen of England in the governor’s effort of investing in education. She promised the constant support of the department in strengthening the education capacity of the state.
