The Kano State Government has approved intensive training for 600 teachers who were recently deployed to the Ministry of Education from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), in the state.
The state commissioner of education, Alhaji Sanusi Saidu-Kiru, made the announcement in a statement issued through the ministry’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Aliyu Yusuf, on Monday, August, 30 in Kano.
According to the statement, the one-week intensive training is meant to serve as a refresher course for civil servants who have teaching qualifications, but were engaged in non-teaching professions over the years, and have now been deployed to the education sector to teach.
