One hundred and seventeen primary school teachers earlier dismissed from service following a verification by the state government few months back have been reinstated, the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has said.
A statement by the Director (Social Mobilization) SUBEB, Malam Shuaib M. Dabo on behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Board said those who were found to have genuine cases have been reinstated.
The statement said the reinstatement of the affected teachers takes effect from September 1, nothing that their years of service remain valid. The statement urged those affected to collect their letter of reinstatement from their respective Local Governments.
The statement also urged teachers without perquisite teaching qualification to enroll for the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) programme, as the minimum qualification for teaching within the next five years or lose their jobs.
