Johannesburg Water SOC Ltd (JW) is a municipal entity incorporate on 21 November 2000 and commenced business on 1 January 2001 as an independent company, with the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) as its sole shareholder. JW was formed following the iGoli 2002 Transformation Plan, an initiative led by the former Greater Johannesburg Metropolitan Council.

Requirements for Apprenticeship Programme Qualification

Johannesburg Water (SOC) Ltd is a municipal entity owned by the City of Johannesburg. Its core purpose is to provide water and sanitation services to approximately 5.5 million people.

Johannesburg Water invites Unemployed Youth (18 – 32 years) to apply for an Apprenticeship Programme of 36 months in the following Trades:

Welder 1 N4 Mechanical Engineering(Welding) Technical Services
Mechanical Fitter 4 N4 Mechanical Engineering (Fitting) Technical Services

To qualify for the Apprentice programme, you must: • Be an Unemployed Person between 18–32 years • Be in possession of the relevant NATED N4 Qualification • Must be a South African Citizen • Must have not participated in an Apprentice programme before.

Documents Required for Application

Applicants must attach the following documents:

• Completed JW Apprenticeship application form • Certified copies of N4 Qualification for relevant Trade as stated above • Certified Copy of ID (not older than 3 months)

Applicants must complete all the fields on the JW Apprenticeship Application form in order to be considered. Incomplete applications forms will not be considered.

Application forms to be downloaded at Water Marked JW Application form Failure to submit the requested documents/information will result in your application being disqualified.
