Kosoko spent his childhood days in Ebute Metta and got his motivation from the successful actor Hubert Ogunde to venture into acting, when a lover that worked with the Ifelodun Traveling theatre troupe asked him to the audition for an important role in Makanjuola, a tele-movie, Kosoko accepted the invitation, he auditioned and was nominated for the role, playing in a personality called Alabi. Kosoko continued with acting, he starred with the Awada Kerikeri group consisting of Sunday Omobolanle, Lanre Hassan and Oga Bello, and had guest featuring on the T.V. Show, New Masquerade. He formed the group theatre troupe In the year 1972.
The Nollywood star has written and produced his own films and stage plays including Ogun Ahoyaya. Kosoko became very known during the Movie era, then later produced his own movie titled “Asiri n la” in 1992, starring in Asewo to re Mecca and Tunde Kelani’s Ti Oluwa Ni’Le in the part 2.
