It was learnt that bill to amend the validity period of JAMB UTME result from 1 year to 3 years has passed 2nd reading at the Senate.
This was disclosed by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki on his twitter handle.
According to him, validity of JAMB as it is, is backed by law and for you to amend that you must repeal and pass an amendment.
He equally stated that it is the hope of the Nigerian Senate that the amendment will reduce financial and psychological burdens on Nigerian students.
Meanwhile, the bill has been referred to the Senate's Tertiary Education and TETFUND Committee for further legislative action.
