The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that it will not release the results of the 2018 UTME examination immediately like it did in 2017.
According to the JAMB boss, this is to ensure that the activities of candidates during the exam are adequately reviewed before their results are released.
The JAMB Boss stated that he had already proved last year that there is no big deal in releasing the results immediately. However, to ensure that results are not cancelled after releasing them like it happened in 2017, the board will have to take two to three days to review what happened in all the CBT centres through the CCTV cameras before releasing the results for 2018 as this will help reduce the cancellation of results.
Mr. Oloyede advised candidates not to pay any money to CBT centre for the main exam as no CBT centre is allowed to collect any cash from the candidates. He said that JAMB will be the one to pay CBT centre 600 naira for each candidate that will take the exam in their centres as earlier agreed.
The registrar equally urged candidates to adhere strictly to the date and time allocated to them for examination. He said any candidate who fails to turn up on schedule for his or her examination automatically misses the examination.
The examination is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 9, to March 17.
