JAMB Releases 2013 Official Results Statistics - Read This!

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde has announced the statistics concerning the Results for the 2013 JAMB UTME conducted on 27th April.

The registrar said after thorough processing of answer scripts of the candidates who sat for the examination, the board discovered some forms of malpractice perpetuated during the conduct of the examination.

According to the statistics released by the registrar,

- A total of 1,629,102 candidates applied to sit for the Paper Pencil Test (PPT)
- 15,008 candidates applied for the Dual Based Test
- 1,644,110 is the total number that sat for the exam.
- 10 candidates scored 300 marks and above.
- 127,017 candidates scored between 1-159 marks
- 40,692 candidates'' results were invalid due to either multiple shading or no shading at all.
- 40 centres would be screened to ascertain their culpability
- 47,974 candidates were absent.

The SchoolGist change of course and institution procedure is expected to begin immediately students are able to check their results and will be available for only 2 weeks. Ojerinde said the Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place from May 18 to June 1 and appealed to candidates to reprint their e-registration slips afresh to further ascertain their CBT centres. (NAN).
