The registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, was over the weekend inspecting the progress of the ongoing registration of candidates for the 2021 examination.
During the check, the registrar discovered that the authorities of Baptist Girls Academy were charging students N8,000 for registration instead of N3500.
A student who was interviewed by newsmen revealed that the school had asked them to pay N8,000 for registration, but when a teacher from the school was interviewed, he said the school was charging N4,700 for the registration, thereby implicating himself and the school.
The teacher of Baptist school in a bid to redeem his image and that of the school gave a breakdown of the N8,000 the school was charging students as against the statutory N3,500.
