The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that the proposed JAMB mock examination for 2017 UTME candidates is now FREE.
All Computer Based Test (CBT) centres have been warned against collecting money from candidates that will be taking the JAMB mock exam.
This was revealed by the Registrar and Chief Executive of JAMB, Prof Oloyede while interacting with newsmen before the cancellation of the mock examination which was suppose to hold on Saturday April 8th, 2017.
Recall that the mock examination which was supposed to hold on April 8th, 2017 was later cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
This means that candidates no longer need to pay for the mock examination. It is entirely free now. No candidate should pay 700 to any accredited CBT Centre.
He further stated that the reason the board is making the JAMB mock exam free is in consideration of the board’s Corporate Social Responsibility, as the Board felt it has to do something for the candidates.
For candidates who may have made payment for the mock exam before its cancellation, the JAMB Boss, said the board will ensure that the candidates are refunded.
Meanwhile, a new date for the JAMB mock exam is yet to be announced. Candidates are to wait for the announcement soon.
